My winamp won't recognize my ipod but I have it on XP. I also have a dual-boot to Windows 7 and don't know that I've tried since I got that.

I don't know what problem you are having with TLH but mine works fine. First I open TLH. Then I highlight all the SHN files and drag them on top of TLH. It gives me a long, narrow dialog box that gives me lots of options. I choose the one that says "encode in different format" or something like that. It then lets me choose between FLAC or MP3. Then I decode them to whichever one I'm doing.

Once they are MP3s they go right on my Sansa Player from Winamp. If I want them on my iPod, I have to copy them to DVD then take them to the iMac and do it from there.

When I have my FLACs or SHNs on a DVD, I have always copied them to the Hard Drive before re-encoding - won't work directly from the disc because of read-only issues.

Hope any of this helps.
